'Jersey Shore's' 'The Situation,' Pauly D Fire Back at Abercrombie & Fitch on Twitter

DelVecchio also chimed in on Twitter, posting an image of a T-shirt bearing the cast's signature "G.T.L." (Gym, Tan, Laundry) catchphrase and the brand name "Fitch." "Hmmm if They Don't Want Us To Wear Those Clothes Why Make GTL Shirts," he wrote. On Tuesday, Abercrombie issued a news release that read, in part,"We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino's association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. ... We have therefore offered a substantial payment to Michael 'The Situation' Sorrentino and the producers of MTV'sJersey Shore to have the character wear an alternate brand. We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast and are urgently awaiting a response." PHOTOS: The Jersey Shore Hits Italy MTV also responded to Abercrombie in a statement issued Wednesday. "It's a clever PR stunt, and we'd love to work with them on other ways they can leverage Jersey Shore to reach the largest youth audience on television," an MTV spokesperson said in a statement.
