What do you think the lyrics "now i'll decide if i'll play the storm or the sails" means?

These are the lyrics to one of my favorite songs Hold Fast by Southern
Lights you can look it up on youtube. I just wanted peoples opinions
on what this could mean or if there is already a meaning to this
